This will be a blog for educators and art educators who are looking for creative solutions to the needs of K-12 students. We will write about ways to engage learners and grab their attention. Our philosophy is that "information is not education" and that true learning can only take place if students "have made meaning." Our focus will be how to use art to this end, but we will go beyond the realm of art from time to time, sharing strategies that can work in many disciplines. We believe in an ordered and structured classroom that will allow much freedom for our students once established.
